Russian diplomat resigns

With massive criticism of the Kremlin and the war against Ukraine, an experienced Russian diplomat has resigned from his post and left the diplomatic service. He has never been so ashamed of his country. A high-ranking Russian diplomat at the UN headquarters in Geneva has resigned with sharp words against the Kremlin. President Vladimir Putin's war of aggression against Ukraine is a crime against the Ukrainian and Russian people, Embassy Counselor Boris Bondarev wrote on the LinkedIn platform. "I have never been as ashamed of my country as I was on February 24 this year," Bondarev wrote. Those who planned this war want to stay in power forever, live in tacky palaces and sail on yachts comparable in size and cost to the entire Russian Navy, he criticized. "For this they are ready to sacrifice as many lives as necessary." Thousands of Russians and Ukrainians have already died for it. "War-mongering, lies and hatred"

In the Russian Foreign Ministry, disinformation and propaganda had reached a level reminiscent of the Soviet era in the 1930s, he wrote, alluding to the rule under dictator Joseph Stalin. Regarding the attitude of his colleagues, he said: "Not all Russian diplomats are warmongers. They are reasonable, but they have to keep their mouths shut." The non-governmental organization UN Watch praised Bondarev's move. UN Watch Director Hiller Neuer said the US, EU and UK should launch a program to persuade more Russian diplomats to follow Bondarev's move. This included protection, financial security and the opportunity to live in the West with their families.

But sometimes even in the most uncertain times with a continues flow of crises someone should look at something with reflects happiness and brightness.

In Russia, who disagrees with Putin

 I am very concerned about what is currently happening in Ukraine, but also what is happening now in Russia. About people and organizations who are not in line with Putin and the official governments policies. I am sad and angry about the Russian Military brutality in Ukraine. But on the other side Russia has turned into a country of fear, absolute oppression, with no more freedom of any expression of different opinions which doesn’t followed the daily propaganda and official government policies. I still have contact with Russian people I knew from my work and stays in Russia and I am not going to cut ties with them as I know on which site they stand. Yes it’s easy to say why they do not make a revolution or rise up against Putin, these people never lived or experience a country with a totalitarian regime. At the moment there are no leaders or groups who could organized and lead a successful uprising.

However I leave a list of organization in Russia who are not in line with Putin and his policies as information just for to show that Tsar Putin can’t brainwash all of the citizens
